These don't actually exist yet as challenge caches but maybe someone(hint, HINT) will place them:

100 caches per month for 12 months in a row: February could be very tough with the weather and less caching days. Also, summer is always tough for me with vacations and the kids off from school.

Every Cache in the County: Everytime I get closer, someone goes and hides another one. Thanks jab!!! [nono] I was at 2, now I'm back to 3...

2D/2T average: The D is very doable, but I just can't seem to get the T up over 1.96/1.97. Someone needs to hide a whole bunch of 3+ terrain hides around Liberty. [wink]

Here's one that DOES exist that I'm getting closer to: 100 DNF Challenge: As long as Phos4s keeps it up, I should be there soon...

...and FWIW, I think deepdish's monthlong non-traditional challenge is one of the coolest ones out there...

I have attached the current list of all active challenge caches in the state of Maryland.  Some of the older challenges caches list bogus coordinates.  Before 2009, you would have to prove your qualifications to the CO and he/she would then give you the final coordinates.  That has been changed by groundspeak so now the final coordinates of the challenge need to be the listed coordinates or be part of a puzzle.  Since I am a challenge cache junkie, I will keep the list up to date, especially since there should be some more challenge caches coming soon, I have some cachers putting out Historical Caches Challenges in other Maryland Counties.

Challenge caches are some of my favorite caches, because, if I see a challenge come up, and I haven't qualified, it usually means traveling to an area I usually don't visit, and for the most part, I will be looking for interesting caches.  Even if a simple C&D is needed to help qualify for a challenge, it gives that cache some extra meaning.  One of my funny stories for challenge caches is for http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4XZ7N_p-h-d-degree-in-geocaching-challenge which is a 5* Challenge.  The final cache I needed to qualify for the challenge was a 1.5/1.5 Park n Ride cache.

Very cool list of challenges!!! I've been working from a bookmarked list that I came across, but this one has way more that I didn't know about. I even found a few I'm pretty sure I qualify for. Maybe we could get this list as a separate topic with a sticky to keep it from getting lost?

Thanks for that list, Mark! Maybe that could go on the useful links page.
