MDCrab and I were able to solve History, Great and Small GC59FA0 with a lot of help from the CO.
I need this cache in order to double my D/T grid. It is a 4.5/4.5.
A couple other cachers need it also for their D/T grid including Z&S and humphr1d, along with MDCrab.
We were wanting to go grab it Sunday Jan. 25th, but the weather isn't looking too good right now especially after the snow we got today.
Going to see how much snow comes in on Sunday before we decide whether to go for it this weekend or wait until next weekend.
Anyone is welcome to join us.
I will post a decision Saturday evening on whether it is a go for this weekend or not.

I was just there today and thought I had found and broke an attachment for a container which was frozen in the ice, but after confirming with the CO I was mistaken. Hint: the broken rope hanging suspiciously from a tree has nothing to do with the cache. :-) The area might be a bit tricky with snow on the ground. The final climb is doable, but the 100' leading up to it is remnants of a dumping area of some sort and has lots of weird debris on the ground. Also, the 'neighborhood' has a 'deliverance vibe' so I'd recommend meeting somewhere else and taking one vehicle to the parking area so as not to arouse suspicion from the locals. I'm not sure when I'll be heading back there but probably not until the snow melts. I usually do most of my caching on weekdays, so I probably can't do a weekend, but I'll try to sneak out if I can...

Talked a bit with Humphr1d and we have decided to go ahead and go for it. I'm sure it will be a bit slippery, but hopefully a lot of the snow melted off today. We are aiming at meeting at 11:00 a.m. I'm still trying to figure out a good meeting place. There aren't posted parking coords and the closest road is a neighborhood road with houses. I don't know Westminster very well, any suggestions where to meet?

Meeting at the corner of Liberty St.(27) and E. Green St. in Westminster at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow since it looks like there is plenty of parking there.

There is room for a few cars on Goodwin's Quarry Road at N 39 33.850 W 077 00.075. The area is inaccessible from the neighborhood to the west. I might be able to make it, but I'm heading down to Just Go Home right now and I'm not sure how much trouble I'll be in when I get home...

Goodwins Quarry Road is the way to get into the area.  If we park at the railroad tracks as the CO suggests, we are about 0.25 mi from the cache.  It looks on Google Earth as if there might be a quarry road going from parking to the cache.

We had a fine time, and it was very rewarding to see the website and forums are getting used as we'd hoped!  Thanks Soccertoa for putting this one together, we had a fine time!
